Services

 My goal through an initial phone consultation is to understand your specific deer management goals. We will discuss your knowledge and experiences on the property, as well as any activity you may be aware of on neighboring land. I'll then conduct an onsite assessment to thoroughly evaluate your property. This allows me to make professional recommendations to improve its deer attracting and holding potential. These recommendations might range from simple adjustments to stand access, to more comprehensive strategies like new stand locations, food plot design, water source development and habitat improvements. We'll discuss the benefits of hinge cutting and overall timber stand improvements to better your browse and bedding areas. Finally, I can create images that show exactly what my recommendations are making it easy to understand and implement a plan. I provide consultation services in the St. Croix area and all surrounding counties.          

A little About Me

My name is Scott Kirkpatrick, and I bring 18 years of whitetail expertise to every consultation. As the former owner of Buffalo County Outfitters, I've guided hundreds of successful hunts in Wisconsin. I've also worked with a few Iowa and Kansas outfitters as well- managing thousands of acres specifically for trophy whitetails.  I've hunted and harvested deer in 11 states, including Pope & Young and Boone & Crockett class animals, giving me a broad understanding of whitetail behavior.  My hands-on experience includes hanging countless tree stands, planting acres of food plots, and strategically developing numerous water sources—all to maximize the property's potential.                                                                     

Managing ground and guiding clients for so many years has given me invaluable knowledge on how to get an edge on these Midwest whitetails. Specifically, for increasing success on small pieces of ground, where we have some challenges that are often difficult to control.  This is something I have been able to do year after year with great success.

Today, my full-time responsibilities are still focused on managing multiple small properties in western Wisconsin with a goal of getting the whitetail population balanced and mature.
